WORKSHOP AT KV AMC LUCKNOW

COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS PROJECT ( 28/06/2017)
 FIRST BATCH

Today on 28.6.17 Communicative Skill Project was launched at Kendriya Vidyalaya AMC, Lucknow, under the guidance and inspiration of Shri Ajay Pant Deputy Commissioner KVS (RO), Lucknow and able direction from Shri TP Gaur, Assistant Commissioner KVS(RO), Lucknow. This workshop will continue for two days i.e 28.6.17 and 29.6.17, where teachers from all Vidyalayas of Lucknow Region will participate. Today teachers from Lucknow Aliganj, RDSO and Gomtinagar cluster participated.




Basic aim of the project is to develop Communicative Skill among Teachers and students of Kendriya Vidyalaya.

The participants were extended a warm hospitality and welcome by the venue Principal Dr KK Pandey. Resource person Mrs InduPuri, Principal KV Unnao made everyone aware about the aims and objectives of the project and how it has to be implemented in the Vidyalayas of Lucknow Region.Mrs Uma Nigam and Ms Jyotsna Verma the resource person of the workshop gave a detailed overview of the project through cards and power Point presentation. Shri Pramod Kumar and Mrs Beena Shukla recorded the proceedings and collected the data of the whole day. The workshop continued whole day and during the post lunch session the practice was carried out by the participants. The day ended on a positive note where the participants developed and enhanced their skills in communication. Further they will be imparting the same in their respective Vidyalayas.

WORKSHOP ON COMMUNICATIVE SKILL DEVELOPMENT: 28th & 29th June 2017
A BRIEF REPORT

Under the guidance and inspiration of Shri Ajay Pant Deputy Commissioner KVS (RO), Lucknow and able direction from Shri T.P. Gaur, Assistant Commissioner KVS (RO), Lucknow two day workshop on Communicative Skill Development was organized on 28th & 29th June 2017 at KV AMC Lucknow. The workshop was conducted according to the guidelines chalked out by the authorities of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
The participants were extended a warm hospitality and welcome by the venue Principal Dr KK Pandey. Resource person Mrs. Indu Puri, Principal Kendriya Vidyalaya, Unnao, along with Mrs. Uma Nigam, TGT (ENG.) Kendriya Vidyalaya I.I.T. Kanpur and Dr. Jyotsna Verma , HM, Kendriya Vidyalaya, O.E.F. Kanpur conducted  the workshop where teachers from all Vidyalaya of Lucknow Region joined as participants.
Mrs Indu Puri made everyone aware about the aims and objectives of this project and how it has to be implemented in the Vidyalaya of Lucknow Region. Mrs. Uma Nigam the resource   gave a detailed overview of the project by showcasing the feedback of Participants on the said project. She also made aware about the implementation.
The workshop had seven major components- Feedback of the project, Familiarization with the materials, the practice of materials, Instructions for implementation, Practice session and interactive session.
STEP 1: To organize a one day workshop for teachers to train them as master trainer of their respective school. (PRT/TGT/PGT)

STEP 2: The Master Trainers will train 5 or 6 Master trainers in their school.
Master Trainers will be teachers from the primary, Or TGT, Art, WET, P&HE, PRT, Music and Librarian.

       STEP 3: The ratio of Master Trainers and teachers will be 1:5 i.e each trainer in turn will train 5 teachers in their school.
       STEP 4: The teachers and their trainers will meet for one hour on every Friday after School and for 2-3 Hours on every Saturday to practice conversation skills by using the Conversation Practice Cards. (Primary)
       STEP 5: First phase is to practice 1 to 20 cards (during Workshop) by dividing the participants into groups and providing them communicative cards.
       STEP 6: Along with basic conversational skills, vocabulary and sentence structures. Practice of the cards from card No. 01 to 50 needs to be completed and desired proficiency  be acquired while conversing with students, teachers, Principals, Parents and various other stakeholders of the Vidyalaya.
       STEP 7: Provide time to practice and proceed for interactive session , recording and uploading the same in KVS National What’s app Group & blog kvunnao.blogspot.com/
        The use of materials was properly explained by Ms. Jyostna Verma - the Resource Person of the workshop, Mr Pramod Kumar, TGT (Hindi) and Mrs Beena Shukla, PRT recorded their conversation in the practical session.
·        Finally, in a nutshell, the master trainers informed how to keep the evidence in the form of video /audio /what’s app group.
·        School Level In-charges must be deputed to conduct school level training & maintain record.
·        It has to be implemented with Pair-work.
·        There is no time duration
·        It should be carried in a friendly way.
·        Regular practice would enhance the communicative skill.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks by the participants. They expressed the thankfulness to Lucknow region for the launch of such a useful COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS PROJECT. Resource Person, Mrs Indu Puri Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya Unnao expressed her belief that this programme will flourish well in Lucknow region resulting into better and effective communication.

दिनांक 28.06.17 एवं 29.06.17 को केन्द्रीय विद्यालय ए.एम.सी लखनऊ में कम्युनिकेशन स्किल प्रोजेक्ट की कार्यशाला का आयोजन श्री अजय पन्त, माननीय उपायुक्त, केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संगठन, लखनऊ संभाग के मार्गदर्शन एवं श्री टी पी गौड़, सहायक आयुक्त, केंद्रीय विद्यालय संगठन, लखनऊ संभाग के निर्देशन में दो बैच में सफलता पूर्वक संपन्न हुआ |
प्रथम दिन के.वि अलीगंज, आर.डी एस ओ एवं गोमती नगर संकुल के सभी प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया तथा द्वितीय दिन के वि कानपुर कैंट, के वि आई आई टी कानपुर एवं एन ई आर बरेली संकुल के सभी के वि के प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया |
मुख्य अतिथि, संसाधन मण्डली एवं प्रतिभागियों का स्वागत के वि ए.एम सी लखनऊ के प्राचार्य डॉ के के पाण्डेय द्वारा किया गया | दीप प्रज्ज्वलन एवं स्वागत गीतसे कार्यशाला का उदघाटनहुआ | कार्यशाला कीमुख्य संसाधक श्रीमती इंदु पुरी, प्राचार्य के वि उन्नाव ने कार्यशाला के मुख्य लक्ष्यों एवं उद्देश्यों से सभी को अवगत कराया | साथ ही सही सम्प्रेषण को आज की आवश्यकता  बताते हुए अच्छे वक्ता के साथ-साथ  अच्छे श्रोता होने के महत्व को भी इंगित किया | अन्य संसाधक श्रीमती उमा निगम, के वि आई आई टी कानपुर एवं सुश्री ज्योत्स्ना वर्मा के वि ओ ई ऍफ़ कानपुर ने विस्तार से इस कार्यशाला की कार्य योजना, वक्तव्य एवं पॉवर पॉइंट द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया  | साथ ही केन्द्रीय विद्यालय संगठन द्वारा बनाये गए कार्ड के प्रयोग की जानकारी बहुत ही सरल तरीके से प्रस्तुत की  | फेसिलिटेटर श्री प्रमोद कुमार, के वि उन्नाव एवं श्रीमती बीना शुक्ला, के वि उन्नाव ने कार्ड के सही एवं सुचारू उपयोग को सभी प्रतिभागियों के सामने प्रस्तुत किया | इसके उपरांत सभी प्रतिभागियों ने इसका अभ्यास भी किया|
भोजनावकाश के उपरांत सभी प्रतिभागियों को विभिन्न समूहों में बांटकर उनको भी कार्ड पढने का अवसर प्रदान किया गया जिससे सभी प्रतिभागियों ने बताये गए दिशा निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए उत्कृष्ट प्रस्तुति दी | सायं कालीन 05:00 बजे कार्यशाला का समापन प्रतिभागियों की प्रतिक्रिया एवं धन्यवाद ज्ञापन द्वारा हुआ | कम्युनिकेशन स्किल प्रोजेक्ट की सफलता तभी सुनिश्चित जब सभी प्रतिभागी इसको अपने-अपने विद्यालय में सफलतापूर्वक लागू करेंगे | इसी प्रतिज्ञा के साथ कार्यशाला का समापन हुआ |

ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILL PROJECT

 One day workshop on English Communication skill project was organized on 28th June, 2017 at KendriyaVidyalaya AMC, Lucknow. The participants from all the clusters of Lucknow attended the Workshop. The program started with the lighting of the lamp by the Assistant Commissioner Sh T P Gaur, SmtInduPuri, Principal K V Unnao and the resource persons Smt Uma Nigam and SmtJyotsnaVerma along with the melodious saraswativandana sung by the students. After the welcome song by the students the venue Principal Dr K KPandey welcomed the Assistant CommisionerLucknow Region Sh T P Gaur, SmtInduPuri,Principal K V Unnao the course director, the resource persons and the participants. SmtInduPuri, the course director of the workshop enlightened the participants with importance of the listening skill and about the qualities of the poor and the good listeners are the aim and objective of the project taken up. Sh T P Gaur, Assistant Commissioner motivated the teachers to take up this project and bring the aura of English in the Vidyalaya as it is the need of the day. The reality matters a lot and one should be truthful and real in whatever they say and do. SmtJyotsnaVerma emphasised the importance of communicative skills and a video on impressions of the project taken up by the KVS was viewed by the participants.
After the tea break Smt Uma Nigam, the resource person shared her views about how the project was taken up by the Sangathan to break the barrier of hesitation of speaking English. The participants were distributed the different shape cards to from groups. The conversation cards were read first by the facilitator ShPramod Kumar and SmtBinaShukla. SmtJyotsnaVerma and Smt Uma Nigam and then the participants were motivated to come up and read the conversation cards in pairs.
After the break at 02:30 PM the participants gathered and sat in their respective groups, the video on communicative skill held at K V Cantt, Allahabad where all the KVs of Varanasi Region participated.An Interactive session was held between the groups and between the participants and the faclitators after the activity of reading the conversation cards provided to each group.Smt Uma Nigam explained how the groups will be formed in the Vidyalayas and the project will be channelized step wise. SmtInduPuriclearified the doubts of the participants and insisted that stress free and lively environment should be created to carry the project in the Vidyalaya .SmtBinaShukla cleared how we can upload videos and photographs and update the blog. Impression of the workshop waspresented by Smt. Meenu Gandhi, Shri K. K. Pandey and Shri L. K. Srivastava. The Vote of thanks was given by SmtJyotsnaVerma.
“Communication to human connection is the key to personal and career success.”with this positive note the workshop ended successfully achieving the target outcome.

ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILL PROJECT

On the second day of the project Assistant Commissioner Mrs SandhyaSrivastavatook  ahead the baton of the “Project Communicative Skill” by lighting the lamp, thus inspiring and motivating the participants to carry forward the spirit of the programme with their heart and soul; followed by the welcome song and the introductory session of the participants from Kanpur and Bareilly.
                Mrs Uma Nigam, the resource person projected an inspiring video, a ‘feed back’ of the teachers and students on the wonderful initiative taken by the sangathan, ‘Communication Skills’.
                Mrs InduPuri, Principal KV Unnao, the Course Director of the workshop gave an impressive, in depth overview of the project and elaborated the qualities of good and poor listening by giving the examples which made the participants feel at home at the workshop and gave the target to successfully to conclude the project at their respective school by 31 December, 2017.
                Ms JyotsnaVerma emphasised the importance of communicative skills through a video an a ppt. She also mirrored a video on the impressions of the project taken up by the KVS and                     SmtBinaShukla cleared how we can upload videos and photographs and update the blog.
                After the lunch break the participants sat in their respective groups and got cards of different shapes to form different groups. The conversation cards were read first by the facilitator  ShPramod Kumar and SmtBeenaShukla. SmtJyotsnaVerma and Smt Uma Nigam and then the participants were motivated to read the conversation cards in pairs.
                SmtInduPuri clarified the doubts of the participants and insisted that stress free and lively environment should be created to carry the project in the Vidyalaya. Impressions of the workshop was presented by Mrs Puspa Singh. Mr Hemant Kumar, Mrs MaliniKapoor and Mr Anchal Jain. The vote of thanks was given by SmtMeetaKhare.
